The Humane Medal was awarded for an action on the

SS City of Cairo 5th November 1933 Whilst in the Medditerranean an explosion

occurred in the Boiler room resulting in scalding steam filling the space.Mc Kinney

and Wadsworth the 6th engineer attempted a rescue, as a result of this Wadsworth was killed

Mc Kinney survived. Wadsworth was awarded the Albert Medal. McKinney the Silver Medal.
